Hello everyone! |
| Last (but not least in their opinion!) are my two cats who think they own the place. Max loves to sit and keep me company while I sew and Peanut is the 'quilt inspector'. She has this strange need to lie on any piece of fabric or quilt block that's left out. Although I'm fairly new to quilting I've been sewing since I was about 11 years old. I put a couple of quilt tops together many years ago but I had no idea what I was doing at the time and ended up feeling it was much more trouble than it was worth. (Sacrilege, I know! lol) I didn't really catch quilting fever until the summer of 2001 when Marcia taught me how to paper piece. (I won't mention the nagging I was subjected to in the months prior to that fateful event. ;-D) But that's all water under the bridge....I'm hooked and there's no looking back now! As for other stuff about me.....I'm single, a nature lover and 'tree hugger'. I enjoy reading, computers, and planning gardens (haven't actually planted anything yet.) My other hobbies include counted cross stitch, knitting, and crochet. And my dream is to win the lottery so I can retire, move to Maine, and start a llama farm. (I'm serious! lol) |
