The first thing that I would
recommend that you do, is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try an Upright Basket Block! You will need to print out one
copy of each template page per block you want to make on very
lightweight paper. FQ's will be fine! |

After your units are paper pieced, join them as shown
at left. Piece ONE is the top, and the numbers go down the block in
order! Here's a basket that gets it's flowers from the background!
If you'd like, perhaps you could replicate some of the flowers in
YOUR background fabric, and appliqué those and some leaves in
the basket as well! |

Here's a little wall hanging, just nine blocks in
all, with triple thin borders and Nine Patch Corners :o) Hope you
