Sew two trap units right sides together from the lower edge to a point
1/4" from the inner edge. Backstitch. Now set in a square
by sewing from the left top edge to a point 1/4" from the
edge of the square. Backstitch. Now FOLD the unit in half right sides
together to line up the remaining un-sewn edge. Sew from the previous
stopping point to the outside edge, backstitching one stitch at the
beginning of the seam. Make another unit like this.
Then sew the two units we just made together,
between points 1/4" from each edge, backstitching at the
beginning and the end of that seam. Set in squares on the left and
right in the same manner as we did above.... |
Now sew triangles to the sides of four trap units to make four corner
triangles...
..and sew trap units to opposing sides of the Color 1 squares to
make four corner strips...
Sew the corner triangle units to the corner strip units to make four
corner units. Sew these to opposite sides of the center star between
1/4" points from the edges. Backstitch at the beginning and end
of these seams. Sew the remaining corner units to the adjacent sides
in the same manner...on to Page 3!
