The first thing that I would
recommend that you do, is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try a Stone Mason's Puzzle Block! You will need to
print out four copies of the template page per block you want to
make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters will be great for this
one! |

|
Also cut four 2-1/2" x 6-1/2"
rectangles of sashing tan, and one 2-1/2" square of dark navy.
Pay attention to direction only if you use a directional print!
Sew together your paper pieced units as shown at left...

Piece the block by first making three rows, then
joining those rows, using all 1/4' seams :o)

The quilt, shown here on
its side, is four blocks by five, with a plain 2" border and
binding. To me, this looks like a quilt Grandma might have made!
:o)
Happy Quilting!
