| The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Red Emperor! You will need to print out four copies of each of the units needed per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A Fat Quarter of each fabric should be plenty! |

After the units are pieced, join the left and right tulip units in pairs....and add the left and right "leaves" to either side of each pair... |

|
Then sew the four block quarters together, first into rows, and then join those rows to make your block! |
