Using Color 2 2-1/2" squares and Color 1 1-1/2"
squares make four units as shown at left...

Sew a Color 1 and a Color 2 half square together as shown at far left.
Sew this half square pair to the left side of the Color 2 square units
we just made. Make four units like this...

Now sew a strip unit as shown at top left, consisting of a Color 3
square, and a Color 1 and a Color 2 half square. Sew this strip unit
to the top of the Color 2 square units we just made. Make four units
like this...

Now lay out all your completed units, with the extra Color 2 square at
the block's center. Sew three horizontal rows, then join the rows to
finish the block!
