The first thing that I would
recommend that you do, is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try a Lucky Star block! You will need to print out one
copy of each template page per block you want to make on very
lightweight paper. Fat quarters should be plenty! |

After paper piecing all eight units, sew together the
template page B units, lining up and then stitching between the
orange marks on the templates. Backstitch one stitch at the
beginning and end of each seam. Now line up the orange marks at the
point of each template page A unit with an inner orange mark and pin
in place. Stitch from the orange mark to the outer edge, in both
directions, backstitching at the beginning of each seam. Sew in all
four side units in that manner. That completes the block! |

Here are four blocks by five, with the locations
of the two main colors swapped in alternating blocks!
Happy Quilting!
