The first thing that I would
recommend that you do, is go to the Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try a Knight Star Block! You will need to print out
two copies of the template page per block you want to make on very
lightweight paper. You will also need one 2-1/2" square of the
striped fabric for the block's center. Fat quarters should be
ample!
Once your units are pieced lay them out as shown at left and piece
together to form the block!
The quilt, which is named after my Grandmother,
Izora Knight, by the way, is four blocks by four, with simple sashings and
cornerstones :o)
