The first thing that I would recommend that you
do, is go to the Practice Paper
Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come
on back and try a Guiding Star! You will need to print one copy of
each template page per block you want to make on very
lightweight paper. A fat quarter of each fabric should be plenty! |

After all units are paper
pieced, join the center two units as shown at left. Then piece the
block, but making rows, then sewing those rows together! |

This wall hanging would measure
about 30" square...it's four blocks by four blocks, with
various gold prints as corner colors and as stars, surrounded by a
very narrow border strip, then a slightly wider border.
