The first thing that I would
recommend that you do, is go to the
Practice
Paper Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper
piecing, come on back and try the Delectable Mountains Variation
Block! You will need to print out one copy of each of the units per
block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A Fat Quarter of
each fabric should be ample! |

|
When you are done paper piecing
the units, (which I labeled R1-R12, for Rows 1-12) , join the rows
using a SCANT 1/4" seam, and alternating pressing directions
with each addition, using the diagram at left for a guide :o) |

|
The quilt-shown here on it's
side- is
made with every other block done as a mirrored image. To do this
with paper piecing, you'd have the right side of your blocks be on
the TOP of the paper, rather than on the back :o) It also looks nice
if you just sew block to block, without mirroring them!
Happy Quilting!
