Next, using a scant 1/4" seam now and throughout the rest of the block-making, sew a Color 1  2-1/2" square to the top of four half square units, being sure to have the half square oriented as shown at top-left of this paragraph. Press seams towards squares.  You are to make four of these units...

Next, sew a Color 1  2-1/2" square to the left of four more half square units, again being careful of the orientation of the half square. Add a Color 2  2-1/2" square to the right of the half square units. Press seams towards the half squares. You are to make four of these units..

Sew the shorter of the units we just made to the right of four Color 2  4-1/2" squares, pressing seams towards the large squares. Add the longer unit to the bottoms of each...

Now it's time to piece the block! Lay out all units as shown at left with the extra Color 2  4-1/2" square as the center. Sew three horizontal rows, then join the rows to complete your Crow's Feet block!

Here on its side is a 64" x 80" quilt made with twenty blocks!
