| To make the most
efficient use of your yardages, cut in this order:
Color 1: one 5-1/4" x WOF (width of fabric) (for blocks) strip, one 3-1/2" x WOF strip( for sashing squares), then cut four 4-1/2" squares from excess. Color 2: four 3-1/2" x WOF strips( for sashing strips) and one 4-7/8" x WOF (for blocks) strip. Color 3: one 4-7/8" x WOF strip (for blocks) and one 5-1/4" x WOF (for blocks) strip. |

** Now....a little note...You can do so much with this basic pattern! For starters, substitute ANY 12" block for the Ohio Star! Make it for any season by alternating fabrics!
