The NEW State of the Quilter's Cache Union ---Jan 26 2004 I need to say a HUGE THANK –YOU to the WHOLE WORLD today! As most of you probably know, the bottom finally fell out of my world this week, and at my wits’ end, rather than lose the web site, I put out a plea for help. The response to this plea has been phenomenal!! We are out of immediate danger, and I thank you all SO MUCH, from the very bottom of my heart, and from the top too!!!! I have felt so choked up for the past three days as I have been struggling to keep up with the mountain of incoming emails, and donations pouring in to save this web site! The State of the Quilter's Cache Union---Jan. 22 2004 It is with SUCH a heavy heart that I write this tonite, but I feel I have held off from doing this for as long as I can. I have alluded in the past to the Hohn's being in dire financial straights. In July I put out a request for donations to help me with the site, and was so overwhelmed by the wonderful response to that. You people are so wonderful!! I have NOT talked about it too much since then, because it is embarrassing, and because I would like to pretend that none of this is happening. However, the time for that luxury is past. We are flat broke. I have enough money left to make ONE MORE server payment. Beyond that, I have 2 dollars. This is the way it is, I am afraid. We are doing everything in our power to find a different job for Joe, and I am doing all that I can to generate income from my work as a designer. ...but the need is immediate, and we have no immediate solution...so I have to ask for your help. If you want the Cache to stay online, please, find a way to help...and pass this on to every quilter you know who uses the website...every group...every guild. I need help, and need it SOON. This month, nearly 3 MILLION people will use my patterns.....what I need in return...is HELP!!! PLEASE!!!
