Next sew a small trapezoid to the top and bottom of the main unit, pressing seams towards traps... |

Sew Color 2 half square triangles to the left and right of a Color 1 half square triangle, pressing seams towards outer triangles. Make four of these... |

Now sew the units we just made from Color 1 and Color 2 half square triangles to the four corners of the main unit, pressing towards the newly added units... |

Sew the remaining Color 2 half square triangles to the right and
bottom sides of each half square, pressing seams towards the
triangles...
