This makes a  20" block !

I named this after one of my favorite spots in New Hampshire :o)

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Start by cutting the Color 1  6-1/2" x 13" strip into two 6-1/2' squares...

 

 

Now cut the Color 3  3-1/2" x 28" strip into eight 3-1/2" squares...

 

 

Then cut the Color 3  2-1/2" x 26" strip into four 2-1/2" x 6-1/2" rectangles...

 

 

Next sew together two Color 2, two Color 1 and one Color 3  2-1/2" x 10" strips using 1/4" seams to make the unit shown far left. Press seams to darker sides. Cut this into four sub-unit A's at 2-1/2" intervals...

 

 

Now sew together three Color 1 and two Color 2  2-1/2" x 10" strips using 1/4" seams to make the unit shown far left. Press seams to darker sides. Cut this into four sub-unit B's at 2-1/2" intervals...

 

 

Then sew together two Color 3, two Color 1 and one Color 2  2-1/2" x 5" strips using 1/4" seams to make the unit shown far left. Press seams to darker sides. Cut this into two sub-unit C's at 2-1/2" intervals...
