If you liked, you could make TWO of these, and make a matching tree skirt out of the second one, by cutting up one side to the center and cutting out hole in the center square, and then binding these cut edges!

Color 1

Color 1 needs: two 2-1/2" x 44-1/2" strips, pieced, if needed AND two 2-1/2" x 48-1/2" strips, pieced, plus fabric for binding (about1/3 yd cut in 2-1/2" strips x width of fabric), and fabric for paper piecing...about 3-1/2 yd. in total

Color 2

Color 2 needs: two 2-1/2" x 24-1/2" strips, two 2-1/2" x 28" strips, and eight  4-1/2" x 10-1/2"strips, plus fabric for paper piecing... about 1-1/2 yd. in total

Color 3

Color 3 needs: one 8-1/2" square, sixteen strips 2-1/2" x 10-1/2", plus fabric for paper piecing... about 2-1/4 yd. in total

Backing will also be needed, 56" square minimum, not included in above measurements.
