Now piece the block, following the diagram at left as a guide. Make three rows, pressing row seams in alternating direction. Sew the rows together, and there you have it!

The quilt is four blocks by five, with a narrow Color 2 border, then a pieced half square border! I chose some nice rich almost masculine looking colors for this, but note that it also makes a great scrap quilt, swap quilt, or western quilt. The center square is a great place to showcase signature squares, or specialty fabrics!
