Now lay out all the units as shown at left. Sew three horizontal rows, and then join the rows to complete your 10th Star block!

If you want  to make a lovely and even easier companion block to the 10th Star, instead of paper piecing the corner units, cut a Color 4 and Color 1   5-3/8" x 10-3/4" strip and sub cut these into two 5-3/8" squares of each. Stack them and cut once on the diagonal to make four half square triangles of each. Use a scant 1/4" seam to sew together pairs of triangles, making four Half Square units. These should measure 5"...

Use the Color 3  3-1/2" square for the center rather than a Color 4 square. Piece the block as shown at left!
