Sew the next set of strips we
made to the sides of these square units, pressing seams towards the
outer strips. These two units are each one quarter of the four
square block... |

Sew a Color 1 2" x
8" unit to a Color 3 strip of the same size. Press seam towards
darker fabric. Add another Color 1 strip to the bottom of that unit.
Add Color 2 strips to the top and bottom of that. Add Color 1 strips
to the top and bottom of that. Mark and cut this at 2"
intervals... |

In the same manner as the step
above make one of each unit shown at left, marking at cutting each
at 2" intervals... |

Join all the strips we just made
in the order shown at left to make the last two quarter squares of
the block... |

Piece the block, by joining the
four pieced squares...on to Page
