Sew a Color 4 quarter square rectangle to both long sides of two Color
3 rectangles, lining up the bottom of the triangles with the bottom of
the rectangle. Press seams towards the rectangles...

Sew the remaining Color 2 rectangles to opposing sides of the Color
1 1-5/8" square, pressing seams towards the
rectangles...
|
|
|
Now, matching your rectangles in the rectangle/triangle units to the
square in the rectangle/square unit, sew these units together as shown
at left...

Using a square up, or other ruler, square this off to measure
3-1/2"...
|
|
|
Lay out all your units as shown at left. Sew three
horizontal rows, pressing the seams of the top and bottom rows
towards the center, and the middle row seams towards the outer
units. Join the rows...and you've done it! :o)
