Then add another hexagonal unit to the top edge of the square, remember to stitch between the 1/4" marks only...

Now FOLD the unit in half along one diagonal, and stitch from the 1/4 point of the square to the outside edge of the hex, again backstitching at beginning and end. Stitch the opposing un-sewn seam in the same way, then fold the unit together on the opposing diagonal and sew those last two seams from the center out in the same manner. Add the four corner triangles to the slant sides, using a scant 1/4" seam, and you are all done!
