Sew together one Color 1, one Color 2, one Color 3, one Color 4, and
three Color 6 2-1/2" x 10" strips in the order shown
at far left, using 1/4"seams. Press seams to one side
and cut this apart at 2-1/2" intervals to make four unit F
strips...

Sew together one Color 1, one Color 3, and three Color 6
2-1/2" x 10" strips in the order shown at far left, using
1/4"seams. Press seams to one side and cut this apart
at 2-1/2" intervals to make four unit G strips...

Using the single 2-1/2" squares make one each of the unit H and
unit I strips...
|
|
|
Now mark and cut the Color 5 6-1/2" x
13" strip into two 6-1/2" squares. Mark and cut the Color
5 5" x 20" strip into sixteen 2-1/2"squares... |

Then mark and cut the Color 6 2-1/2" x
20" strip into eight 2-1/2" squares. Mark and cut the
Color 6 5" x 26" strip into eight 2-1/2" x
6-1/2" rectangles... |

Line up Color 5 2-1/2" squares with each end of a
Color 6 rectangle, right sides together. Draw in the diagonals on the
back of the small squares n the direction shown at top left. Stitch on
these drawn lines. Cut off the excess seam allowance, pressing the
remainder towards the corners. Make eight units like this. Sew
2-1/2" Color 6 squares to the ends of four of those units. Leave
the other four as is. Now sew the shorter units to the left and right
of a Color 5 6-1/2" square, pressing seams towards the square.
Make two units like this. Sew the longer units to the tops and bottoms
of those two center star units, pressing seams towards the centers.
You will have two units like this...

Now sew unit G strips to the left and right of each star unit as shown
at left, then sew unit F's to the top and bottom, as shown at left.
You will have two units like this...on to Page 3!
