** Preparing the Pieces
and Sewing the Block ** |
Start this one by cutting the
Color 1 3-7/8" x 23-1/4"
strip into six 3-7/8" squares...
Then stack these squares and cut them
once on the diagonal to make twelve half square triangles... |
Cut the Color 2 3-7/8" x 15-1/2"
strip into four 3-7/8" squares...
.Stack and cut these on
the diagonal to make eight half square triangles..
Repeat this process one more
time with the Color 3 3-7/8" x 7-3/4" strip, making two
3-7/8" squares...
Stack and cut these on the
diagonal into four half square triangles...
Lastly, mark and cut your Color 1 3-1/2" x 14"
strip into four 3-1/2" squares...
Now place your Color 1 and Color
2 triangles right sides together, and sew using a 1/4" seam, pressing seam
allowances towards the darker fabric. Make 8 of these units. This should
measure 3-1/2"...
