** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Start by cutting the Color 1 1-1/2" x 10-1/2" strip into seven 1-1/2" squares. Cut the Color 1 1-7/8" x 7-1/2" strip into four 1-7/8" squares-Stack these and cut them once on the diagonal to make eight half square triangles. Cut the Color 1 2-3/8" square in half once on the diagonal to make two half square triangles. You only need ONE for this block. Using the template provided cut one trapezoid from the Color 1 2" x 11" strip... |

Then cut the Color 2 1-1/2" x 16-1/2" strip into eleven 1-1/2" squares... |

Cut the Color 3 3" x 10-1/2" strip into fourteen 1-1/2" squares. Now cut the Color 2 2-3/8" x 4-6/8" strip into two 2-3/8" squares- stack these and cut them once on the diagonal to make four half square triangles. You only need three for this block. Cut the Color 3 6-7/8" square in half on the diagonal to make two half square triangles. You only need one for this project...Now...let's get to work and sew this puppy! :o) 1/4" seams are to be used throughout this block! |
