Start by laying out your paper templates on each fabric and cut out with scissors, being sure to add 1/8" to 1/4" all around for turning under... |

Now lay out all of your pieces centered on the background square to get the arrangement you like. Remove all but the back hand, the small piece of shirt that will be mostly under the arm, and the shoe. Appliqué down using tiny invisible stitches and thread to match the pieces being sewn on, turning under the edges as you sew... |

Next pin on the shirt front and pants pieces, being sure to have the pants piece overlap the shirt pieces slightly. Appliqué these on...on to Page 2! |
