** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Using the templates provided cut two trapezoids and one center circle from a 7" x 18" Color 1 strip... |

The cut two trapezoids using the template and one 6-1/2" center square from the 7" x 18" strip... |

Sew a Color 1 trap right sides together to the left edge of the Color 2 center square, starting and stopping 1/4" from the corners. Backstitch at beginning and end. Add a Color 2 trap to the right side in the same way. Press seams towards traps. Add a Color 1 trap to the top, and a Color 2 trap to the bottom, again pressing towards traps. Fold diagonally and sew the corner seams from the inside corners out to the edges... |

Now press under the 1/4" seam allowance of the circle, clipping as needed to get it to lay flat. Pin to the center square. Hand or machine applique using thread to match the circle....and now it is all done!! Good Job Folks! ...on to Page 2! |
