** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Cut the Color 1 3" x 42" strip into fourteen 3" squares Cut the Color 2 3" x 27" strip into nine 3" squares Cut the Color 3 3" x 39" strip into thirteen 3" squares

Now lay out all the squares as shown at left! Using a 1/4" seam, sew together six horizontal rows, alternating pressing direction by row. Then join the rows to complete your block, being sure to match the intersections of your squares! |
