Start by cutting a Color 1 and Color 3 7-1/4" square in half on both diagonals to make four quarter square triangles of each... |

Sew these together in pairs as shown at left, using a 1/4" seam, and pressing seam to the dark side. Make four units like this... |

Using the templates provided and 2" x 16-1/2" strips of Colors 1 and 3, cut out four trapezoids of each color... |

Using the templates provided and 3" x 12" strips of Colors 1 and 3, cut out four triangles of each color... |

Sew the triangles to the traps as shown at left, using 1/4" seams and pressing seams to darker side. Make four units
like this. (**NOTE: You can paper piece this whole part using
the paper piecing template provided, if you prefer. You will have to
adjust your supplies needed to account for that if you do!)
