Start by laying out your
templates on the correct fabrics. Cut them out, adding
1/8th"-1/4" extra all around each piece for turning under.
I suggest that you run off several copies of the template sheet so
that you can darken the edges of, and cut out all the pieces you
will need. You will also need a 7- 8" square of white
background fabric, thread to match your chosen fabric colors, and a
bit of dark green or black embroidery floss! Follow the directions
below for order of placement :o) |

First, I suggest that you lay
out all of your pieces against the background square, to see that
you have the placement you want, then remove all but the stems/base piece. (noting that this is all cut from ONE piece of
fabric) Pin this on and appliqué using thread to match the fabric... |

Now pin on and appliqué the
light side of the leaves shown at left using thread to match that
fabric... |

Then pin on and appliqué the
dark sides of the leaves as shown at left, and the back piece of the
pulpit, using thread to match the fabrics...on to Page
