To make the first sort of corner four patch squares,
sew a Color 1 half square to a Color 3 small square. Make four of these. Sew them together
in sets of two to make two corner four patch A units. To make the Corner four patch B
units, do the same thing, but alter the direction of the half squares as shown at left.

Sew a Corner four patch A unit to the top of a half
square unit, and a Corner four patch B unit to the bottom of that unit. Then make another
of these side units, but on the second, sew a Corner four patch B unit to the top, and a
Corner four patch A unit to the bottom. Keep referring to the block diagram to make sure you
have your side four patches heading in the right direction too! |

Now piece the block by joining the side units to the
middle unit, using 1/4" seams, and pressing seam allowances towards the
outer sides, and there you go! :o) |
