and Sewing the Block ** |

Start by cutting the Color 1 and Color 3 2-7/8" x
5-3/4" strips into two 2-7/8" squares of each. Stack these
squares and cut them once on the diagonal tom make four half square
triangles of each...

Next cut the Color 2 3" x 9" strip into four
1-1/2" x 4-1/2" rectangles...
|
|
|
Now cut the Color 3 1-1/2" x 6" strip into four
1-1/2" squares...
|
|
|
Using a scant 1/4" seam, stitch each Color 1 half square triangle
to a Color 3 half square triangle. Press seams to darker side. Trim to
measure 2-1/2" if needed. Make four units like this...
|

|
Sew the four half square triangles together to make the block's center
unit...on to Page 2!
