The third petal should just slightly overlap the first, the leaf, and the second petal. Pin and applique... |

Then add the fourth petal...it's rough point should slightly overlap the first and third petal. Pin, and applique... |

Using 3 strands of yellow embroidery floss, make French knots in the center of the flower, about 6 to 8 of them, or more if you like! ...and that's it! One dogwood! ....stay tuned for more applique flower blocks at a later time! Happy Quilting!! Marcia :o) |
