Next lay on your
second piece, right sides together over the first piece withseam lines even
. Stitch as
shown, using a scant 1/4" seam catching in both layers of fabric plus the muslin base.
Flip the piece down as shown . Press, and then pin in it's new place.
This will
cover the raw edge of your first piece... |

Take a third fabric,
lay it right sides together over the second piece, again lining up the edges, and
stitching over it with a 1/4" seam. Press down and pin, thus covering THAT raw
edge... |

Now lay on the fourth
piece in the same manner. It will cover the raw edges you had from pieces two and
three... See what we are
doing here?...always working to cover the raw edges of the previous pieces with the next
one added... |

Continue adding
pieces in the same manner, always pressing and pinning down...
