Now sew the blocks side units by piecing four of the
units shown at left... |

Then piece the block! Lay out all your units as shown
at left. Sew three horizontal rows, pressing the seams of the top
and bottom rows to the center, and the middle row seam to the
outsides. Sew the rows together, and this County Fair is open to the
Public! |

The quilt seemed too plain in just straight sets.
So, to add some central interest, I added sashings with cornerstones
and substituted half squares for some of the corner squares. (Those
would be made from 4-7/8 half square triangles )
