and Sewing the Block ** |

Using the square template provided, cut thirteen tan squares from the
Tan Print 1 4-1/4" x 15" strip.( NOTE-You can use all
different tans if you prefer!- use the same template and cut from
2" squares) Also cut twelve different colored squares
using the same template...

From each of the Light Calico (shirting prints are great!)
3-1/2" x 10" strips cut two triangles using the triangle
template provided. (Or you could cut four the same by cutting one
6-1/4" square in half on both diagonals to make four quarter
square triangles, if you prefer) Use the same template to cut
four different colored Dark Calico triangles...

Next, using scant 1/4" seams sew five rows as shown at left,
alternating colored squares and tan squares. Join the rows to complete
the block's center unit...

Sew pairs of Light and Dark Calico triangles together. You need four
of these...on to Page 2!
