Sew your 1-1/2" strip sets together into 36-patch units as shown at left, using a scant 1/4" seam allowance. Make twelve units like this... |

Now it's time to sew together the sampler blocks! These use just the 2-1/2" squares and half squares! Use scant 1/4" seam allowances and follow the illustrations below for piecing info!

For borders, from Color 1, piece together two 3-1/2" x 21-1/2" for each of the side borders, (or a little longer to compensate for the size of your top.) Also cut two 3-1/2" x 36-1/2" for the top and bottom borders. From Color 2 piece together two 3-1/2" x 26-1/2" for each of the sides, (or a little longer to compensate for the size of your top.) Piece together two 3-1/2" x 21-1/2" strips (or a little longer to compensate for the size of your top.) for each of the top and bottom strips...on to Page 3! |
