Now sew the shortest Color 2 rectangle to the top of the previously made unit. Press seam allowance towards the Color 2 strip. Sew another Color 1 strip to each side of this unit, again stopping sewing 1/4" from the bottoms of the strips. Press these seam allowances towards the outer strips... |

Add the next largest Color 2 strip to the top of this unit, and press seam towards the top strip... |

Now add two more Color 1 strips to the left and right, again stopping the sewing 1/4" from the bottoms of the strips... |

Then add the next sized strip to the top, pressing towards the top... |

Now add two more Color 1 strips
to the sides, again stopping 1/4" from the bottoms of the
