** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Start by using the templates provided to cut your bowl, leaves and flower sections from the appropriate fabrics. After you have cut the large bowl unit from the folded rectangle of Color 1, open out the remaining fabric and cut ONE triangle... |

Stack the two 9-3/8" squares and cut them once on the diagonal to make four half square triangles... |

Now sew the Color 1 triangle to a Color 5 small triangle as shown at left, using a scant 1/4" seam and pressing to the darker side. Add another Color 5 triangle to the right of that, again pressing to the dark side. Add the last Color 5 triangle to the bottom of that unit... |

Now sew the pieced bowl-bottom we just made to the larger bowl unit... ..on to Page 2! |
