Next sew two sets of four small solid squares... |

Then sew a set of two small square to each side of the center
square, pressing seams towards the outer strips... |

Sew a set of four small squares to the top and the bottom of the
center square unit. Press seams towards the center square... |
|

Now sew one of the first corner units we made to
opposing sides of the center unit. Press seam allowances towards the
center unit... |
|

|
Lastly, piece the block, by sewing the remaining
corner units to the right and left of the center units...and there's
a Braced Star Variation One! :o) ...on to Page
