This makes a 10" block and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try an X's and O's Block! You will need to print out two copies of the template A page, and one copy of template pages B & C  per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A FQ of each fabric should be plenty!

After your units are paper pieced, sew the four triangle units to either side of two short X units. Press seams towards the X units. Sew the Longer X unit to the remaining short X unit. Now sew the triangular corners to the longer X piece...and you are done!

 Shown here on its side, this quilt is four blocks by five, with a pieced border :o)
