This makes a 12" block, with paper pieced corner units!

For those of you who'd prefer all regular piecing, further down you'll find a simple companion block!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a 10th Star block! You will need to print out four copies of the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper.

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Start by cutting the Color 1  2" x 14" strip into four 2" x 3-1/2" rectangles ...

Now cut the Color  2  3-1/2" x 14" strip into four 3-1/2" squares...

Then cut the Color 3  2" x 16" strip into eight 2" squares...

Cut the Color 4  4" x 16" strip into two 2" strips and then sub-cut into sixteen 2" squares.

... now on to Page 2!
