Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Using the templates provided cut
four triangles, and four parallelograms from the Color 5 strips.
Now cut
one triangle and one parallelogram from each of the other four fabric
units...

Now take a Color 5 parallelogram and sew it to
the Color 1 triangle, using a 1/4" seam.
Then sew the Color 1 parallelogram to a Color 5 triangle. Press seam allowances
towards the darker fabrics. After sewing, trim off the little "tails" to
make a straight edge. Repeat this with each of the other colored
triangles and parallelograms you cut... |

Stack the two resultant new triangles right sides
together and sew along the long straight edge to form a new square. Do
this with the other units also... |

Sew the four new squares together in the direction
shown to make the block! Be sure to alternate pressing directions by row!
