The 200th Pattern!!

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

First, using the templates provided, cut fifteen petal shapes from Color 1. Be sure to ADD SEAM ALLOWANCES, of about 1/4" to each petal shape! I suggest laying them out in three rows of five each. with 1/2" in-between each...

Next cut the stem and leaves from Color 2, again adding seam allowances...

Then cut the center from Color 3, again adding seam allowances...

Layout the pieces in a pleasing arrangement on the Color 4 background square. When you like the way it looks, remove all but the stem and leaves. Pin these in place, with the stem overlapping the leaf ends.  Needle turn edges as you appliqué with thread to match the leaves...

Then add the flower petals, checking to make sure that the flowers center piece will cover all the rough edges after it's edges have been turned under. Needle turn edges as you appliqué on one at a time, checking often to make sure your placement is accurate. Use thread to match the petals...on to Page 2!
