** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Start by cutting the Color 1  3-7/8" x 7-3/4" strip into two 3-7/8" squares. Cut one Color 2  3-7/8" square. Cut the Color 3  3-7/8" x 11-5/8" strip into three 3-7/8" squares...

Pair the two red squares and two of the white squares right sides together and all edges aligned. Draw in the diagonal on the back of the top square and stitch 1/4" away from that drawn line on both sides of it. Cut apart on the drawn line. This will give you four half squares. Press to dark sides and trim to measure 3-1/2" if needed. Repeat this with the one blue square and one remaining white square...

Next sew the Color 2 and Color 3  2" x 12" strips right sides together along one long edge using a 1/4" seam. Press to darker side. Cut apart at 2" intervals. Sew pairs of these together to make three four patch units...on to Page 2!
