The first thing that I would recommend that you
do, is go to the Practice Paper
Piecing Page. When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come
on back and try the Star O'er Bethlehem! You will need to print out four copies
of each of the units needed per block you want to make on very
lightweight paper. As there are fine points to this one, you may
find it works best to trim the seam allowances to 1/8" in tight
spots...do a test block!! |
|
|
After your units are pieced, you
will have four each of the units at left... |
|
|
Join the A's to the B's as shown
at left. Use a 1/4" seam, and if needed trim seam
allowances back to 1/8" rather than the standard 1/4" to
lessen the bulk where the points come together... |
|
|
Then Join the C's to the D's as
shown at left. Use a 1/4" seam, and if needed trim seam
allowances back to 1/8" rather than the standard 1/4" to
lessen the bulk where the points come together... |
