** Preparing
the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |
|
|
First mark and cut your
Color 1 3-1/2" x 14" strip into four 3-1/2" squares... |
|
|
Then mark and cut your Color 2 3-7/8" x 7-3/4" strip into two 3-7/8" squares, then cut them
together on the diagonal, using a rotary cutter... |
|
|
Do the same with your Color 3
3-7/8" x 7-3/4" strip... |
|
|
Then next, mark and cut your
Color 1 4-1/4" x 8-1/2" strip
into two 4-1/4" squares... |
|
|
Stack and align your two Color 1,
and one each Colors 2 and 4 4-1/4" squares. Mark the
diagonals. Cut together in both directions... |
|
|
Sew a Color 1 and a Color 4 half
triangle together, using a 1/4" seam, pressing seam allowance towards
darker fabric. Sew this unit to a Color 2 half square triangle, right sides
together. Press
seam allowance towards the Color 2 triangle...make TWO of each
arrangement shown at left...on to Page 2! |
