** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

Use the templates provided to cut one square and one triangle from each of the Color 1, 2 3 and 4 4" x 9" strips. Cut four triangles from the Color 5 3" x 15" strip.. |

Sew the triangles right sides together in pairs, each with a white triangle to make four units like the one shown at left. Use 1/4" seams, and press each to the darker side... |
|
|
Sew the four squares together to make the blocks center Four Patch unit... |
|
|
Now add the triangle units, first to opposing sides, and then to the two remaining sides!...on to Page 2! |
