The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is
go to the Practice Paper Piecing
Page. When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back
and try a Shoemaker's Puzzle Block! You will need to print out two copies of
the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight
paper. A Fat Quarter of each fabric will be plenty! |

After your four units are
pieced, join them as shown at left...and there's the block! |

The quilt is four blocks by
five, with a narrow plain border, then a pieced border and
cornerstones :o)
