This makes an 8" block, and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Royal Star! You will need to print out two copies of template page A, and one of B per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A Fat Quarter of each fabric should be plenty!

Once your paper piecing is done, join the units as shown at left, using as always, a 1/4" seam...and there's your block!

The quilt, is four blocks by five, with very narrow sashings, then prairie points, over a background colored border strip.

Happy Quilting Everyone!

Here's one that Mindy made!
