Here's another SCRAP QUILT!!..its a 12" block!

Time to use up all those odds and ends left over from all the other patterns, folks! :o)

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

 

 

Sew three 1-3/8" strips together, using a 1/4" seam. Press seams towards darker fabrics. Add a 3-7/8" wide bottom stripe. (this will be your one consistent color throughout the quilt) ...

 

 

Next, using a see through quilters square, carefully line up the square so that the stripes are fully on one half, and the large triangle is fully on the other. Cut out a 3-1/2" square. You may get more than one square out of a group of strips, depending on how long they were! You will need 16  3-1/2" squares to make one block...

 

Now simply sew together your 16 squares. (I show them here all facing one direction, but that doesn't need to be true!) First make rows, and then piece the rows to make the block. As always use a 1/4" seam and alternate directions when pressing out row seams...on to Page 2!
